Two more images from my sketchbook after a day of colour theory,
plus a bit of photo montage.

This was a project focusing on the use of tonal composition. we had to choose five tones and choose from two sentences to illustrate. Mine was about a fire burning brightly in a manor house, which I changed to a tramps den in a back alley. The image was A3, so the photoshop to fit the two A4 sizes together is a bit dodgy

Two doodles from my sketchbook to help me decide which text im going to choose for my children's book project. The first is about a nonsense cake made from everything..

The sorry excuse for my car engine I drew last summer,
scanned and block coloured.

A couple of pages from my new sketchbook called 'inspiration'. This is a self motivated project on anything I want to do, I just have to fill three sketchbooks with my ideas throughout the year.

The following sketches are the better from my first location drawing project.
Entitled sea and sky they're all drawn around Falmouth.

The address page in my sketchbook started life as a doodle,
but I kept adding to it now and again and can safely say its finished.
Not very handy if I do end up misplacing it though...
unless I move to Greenland ?

For a friends on-line radio station.
UK.fm. I based the idea around making a generic stereotyped image.
A British bulldog with a pipe and racing attire fit the bill.

A characature and branding for a friends myspace site.
This is to promote his music production under the name 'DJ Hezit'. I aimed to make psy-futuristic typography.

Fabric in his hat, a forest in his hair. Real patterned shirt and true denim for his jeans. I really enjoy bringing real textures to
an image.

More character work, this time self motivated, again bringing in texture where possible.

The original artwork I made using scanned textile work in the background and sketch on top.

Some day I hope to be an illustrator for editorials. I made this as an example of how my work would look when professionally published in a magazine. Its got buttons and masking tape and all sorts in it for texture. I didn't write the text, that's borrowed from an article on the internet
